Hi there!

I'm Kali Sturgis, & I’m an Alabama-native, Tuscaloosa-based photographer.

While in college, I began as a Journalism major where I found there was something missing in my academic career: the creative freedom I had fostered living in an artistic household.

From there, I added Photography to my degree repertoire & graduated from the University of Alabama in 3 1/2 years, magna cum laude, with a double major in Photography & Journalism, as well as a minor in Art History.

Kali Sturgis Photography was established at the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic in March 2020 where what began as a means of making a living & bringing back a sense of normalcy to an otherwise unprecedented time: soon evolved into a wholehearted passion to capture & celebrate the beauty & authenticity in candid moments.

Outside of being a full-time photographer, I regularly participate in pageants, go on spontaneous travels, & enjoy spending time with my loved ones.
